SKINLESS Joined By ORIGIN Drummer
January 24, 2003New York-based death metallers SKINLESS have tapped ORIGIN drummer John Longstreth to join the group during the recording sessions for their forthcoming CD and the subsequent touring activities in support of the album.
"John and SKINLESS have been good friends and we've always had the greatest respect for him as a musician," the band said in an official statement. "He enters the band at a perfect time to record 'From Sacrifice To Survival'. We've been working very hard on the record and are eager to release it this spring followed by a LOT of touring!
"[Former drummer] Bob Beaulac will be getting married this spring, we wish him the best of luck in everything he does. Without Bob Beaulac, there would be no SKINLESS."
"From Sacrifice To Survival" is tentatively due in May through Relapse Records. A European tour will kick off on March 22. In the meantime, the band will shoot a DVD during their show at Saratoga Winners in Saratoga, New York on Feb. 1. Joining them on the bill will be SHADOWS FALL, BURNT BY THE SUN and LOCKED IN A VACANCY.
